The Power of Night Prayers—Part One
I observe God’s saints neglecting night prayers. The traditional Night Prayers have increasingly been overtaken by phone pop-ups. Without night prayers, no generation can experience the supernatural outpouring. The throne should never be replaced with your phone.
Dryness is likely to occur when believers cease to invoke God. Without the living God, you dry up. The river in the spirit world is created by the seeking of God.
Isaiah 41:17-18:
“When the poor and needy seek water and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I, the LORD, will hear them; I, the GOD of Israel, will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places and fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry lands springs of water.”
Seeking God in the night by the saint must return back to the church. The practice of focused night prayers is the key that opens certain doors in the spirit that eventually affects physical life and well-being. All manner of prayers in the night generates strength for the believer and light and illumination for the saints of God
WHY WE NEED TO PRAY AS BELIEVERS URGENTLY
1. When there is no longer fire on the altar, when ashes replace fire on the altar of our lives and the altar of our churches, when God’s holy altar lacks fire, we need to wake up to pray in the night. Calling upon God connects you with the room of fire.
2. When we see the power of scriptures not being unleashed, then we need to pray all-night for months
3. When fornication, lusting after the opposite sex, pornography becomes the order of the day
hen we need to begin to pray long hours on a consistent basis
4. When there is conflict in the church, backbiting, gossiping of all kinds, competitions, and the church stage or platforms have reduced itself to entertainment rather than a platform of power manifestation.
5. When holy living is not lived and stressed (Hebrews 12:14) Without holiness, you cannot see the Lord. When cleanliness and leading a pure life are no longer stressed, we must begin praying at night.
6. If you are no longer interested in prayer, you are losing the most important foundation of your Christian faith.
7. When you no longer spend time with God as you once did, it is time to return to Him via the “Night-route.” That is, spending the entire night praying in the Holy Spirit. Seeking Him is life, so just turn to Him. It’s time to wake up and pray at night. Without Him, life has no results.
8. When social media viewing interests you more than seeking God, Bible study, etc., then you need to separate yourself for night prayers. The enemy is using social media to destroy the lives of young people through “There’s a good part of social media.”
The other day, some girls were invited to a private house party and were anticipating meeting new friends and making new relationships. But sadly, all of them went missing. Their phone numbers were not going through, and every means of communication got shut down.
Young guys are returning to the country to do rituals using young blood. When things are happening like this, we need to seek God at night. When you start losing faith, it is time to pray. When your love is wading cold, you need to blow hot with all-night prayers.
You need to build a fire in the night with the wood of God’s Word!
9. When you find out as a believer, as a leader in church (bishop, pastor, apostle, etc.), that you easily fall into sin with no remorse, then you need to light up a fire on your altar in the night by prayers. Consistent prayers flow in the night.
“And at midnight there was a cry made, ‘Behold, the bridegroom cometh: go ye out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.” Matthew 25:6-7.
The “BRIDEGROOM” is coming in the night; do you have the oil to see His face?
Oil in your lamp is mostly generated in the night seasons. Please read how the Passion translated Bible put this.
Matthew 25:6-7.
“Then suddenly in the middle of the night, they were awakened by the shout, ‘Get up! The Bridegroom is here! Come out and have an encounter with Him! So all the girls got up and trimmed their
lamps. But the foolish ones
were running out of oil, so they said to the five wise ones” Share your oil with us because our lamps are going out!”
That unshared oil can only be gotten in the night season, the season of prayers, fasting, and studying the word.
Oil drops in those times.
Pray this prayer!
Lord, give me oil in my night seasons, in the Name of your Holy Child, Jesus Christ!!.
10. When social media appeals more to you, thereby causing you to ignore your quiet time, you need to burn the midnight candle and go on your knees. It is time to pray.
11. When the power of God is explained and not demonstrated, we need to go back to night praying, we need to repent genuinely, and we need to return to the throne room through the It is time to groan before His altar and secure His fire over time. It will take some time to soak yourself in night prayers. But when you do, you’re eventually baptizing yourself in His liquid fire.
Oh LORD, I need some revival fire!

“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness… And with Great Power.
The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the LORD Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all.” Acts 4:31 and 33
After prayer, great power was released. Mind you, it is not just a one-time thing: It was a daily business. And a daily business it still is. You cant sustain power if you don’t meet with Him daily.
12 When the authorities of the day are putting up major hindrances to the Gospel, we need to take it up in the night by focused prayers. In the book of Acts 12:1-3, It reads;
“Now about that time, Herod the king stretched forth his hand to vex certain of the church. And he obliged James, the brother of John, with the sword.
And because he saw it, it pleased the Jews. He then proceeded further to take peter also, (then were the days of unleavened bread)”
Herod, the King persecuted the church, killed James and got Peter arrested.
Verse 5 said:
“Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.”
God delivered Peter before he could be killed in the night.
“But while peter was in prison, the church prayed earnestly for him.”
Verses 6-8
The night before Peter was to be placed on trial, he was asleep, fastened with two chains between two soldiers; others stood guard at the prison gate. Suddenly, there was a bright light in the cell, and an angel of the LORD stood before Peter. The angel struck him on the side, awakening him, and said, “Quick! Get up! And the chains fell off his wrists. Then the angel told him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” And he did.
“Now put on your coat and follow me,” the angel ordered.
Now this happened in the night, and this was the same time the church was busy praying for him.
In Acts 12:12
“And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of mary the mother of john whose surname was mark; where many gathered together praying”
They gathered that night praying and God sent an angel to deliver peter, night prayers can release angels to workout deliverance keep praying in the night.
7 BENEFITS OF NIGHT PRAYERS
The impact of night prayers cannot be overemphasized. Praying in the night has about seven important benefits I desire to share with you. That’s the whole essence of this write-up. Let’s go through them together
NUMBER ONE
Night Prayers Generates Creative Energy It will interest you to know that in the Hebrew and Aramaic dictionary, it defines night as “LAYELAH.” It means the period of time during which it is dark (the night).
“And God called the light Day and the darkness Night.”
There are major supernatural events that take place in the night. We are going to be seeing some. Night season is the season of darkness and God made Night for a reason at this season
“Thou makest darkness and it is night” Psalm 104:20
If you want to be used by God to pioneer the next move of God, you must be a friend to the night season. You must pray and study at night, you travel in the night.
Night prayer holds the key to supernatural events in your life. When you pray at night based on God’s word, creative energy begins to flow in the atmosphere, when you start to pray at night consistently energy for months, the creative energy around you becomes stronger.
You speak, it comes to pass!
When the Holy-Ghost helps you to pray at night creative power is made available, power that creates things becomes present, so that as you speak it will start to happen.
The power that created the world was the word of God. As you pray in the night, that power is made available to you to speak to any mountain and the obey your voice. Why? Over time you have built a prayer on the blocks of consistency
consistency. Prayer generates creative invisible energy, and as you say it, you see it happening.
Some few years back, the LORD provided for my ministry a piece of land, which we were very grateful for, and for a period of time, we had not started any meeting in that area because I was trying to solicit for funds to be able to build the building, which I was intending to for the meetings to begin. I was praying on the land at night one day and I heard the voice of God telling me to call forth what I desire on that land. He asked me to call forth everything I needed.
I continued doing that for some weeks which transformed into months. And one day, a phone call woke me up at night, and that one interaction built the whole building. Just one person!
The miraculous energy flowed. As you pray in the night, call it forth systematically.
In the year 2005, my wife conceived our first baby, and the LORD revealed to me her name.
He told me she should be called “Marvelous” when she was three months old in the womb at night.
I would lay my hands on the pregnancy and call forth her characteristics. The way I wanted her to behave in the earth realm. I declared it over her. I declared her taste for books and her desire for knowledge would be massive.
I declared that she will be simple and possess interpersonal relationship skills naturally, and it all came to pass.
The energy flowed into her in the night, and she began to manifest everything I called forth up till this day!
When you pray in the dark time of the day, creative energy flows in that season. Pray in the night to unleash creative energies. Power to create is derived from praying in the night over a long period of time, and it must be consistent.
